Curries
8 items · £14.50 to £17.20
Curries are where most first visits start, and katsu curry outsells everything else on the Wagamama menu. All of them arrive with rice, so the real decision is the sauce: katsu is mild and sweet under panko breadcrumbs, raisukaree is a gentle coconut curry, and firecracker is genuinely hot rather than warm. Changing the protein moves you around within this price range rather than adding to it.

Wagamama Menu Prices
One of the most common reasons people look up the Wagamama menu is simple: they want to know what the meal will cost before they arrive. A main dish on its own is usually £14 to £18. Add a side and a soft drink and you are at roughly £25 per person.
Prices change when the menu changes, and they can also differ by restaurant and by how you order. The prices on this page are the ones you pay eating in, across England, Scotland and Wales.
What affects the price of a Wagamama meal
Airport and station branches price separately and are usually higher. Northern Ireland runs its own menu. Delivery platforms add their own margin, and that margin is not a flat percentage.
The same katsu curry, on the same day, through three official Wagamama channels: £14.90 eating in, £14.90 on Uber Eats in Leicester, and £15.30 on Uber Eats in London. Other price guides currently list anywhere between £12.50 and £16.45 for it. That spread is why it is worth checking a current menu rather than an old screenshot.
Two more things worth knowing. Going bigger on protein costs £3.50 for chicken or prawn and £2 for tofu. Making a katsu curry hot costs 80p. Bao buns are priced individually rather than in pairs, which is easy to miss.
Wagamama Calories
Wagamama publishes calorie information alongside every dish on its own menu, which makes it possible to compare meals before ordering. A chicken katsu curry is 988 kcal. We show a calorie figure on 97 of the 134 dishes here, taken from Wagamama's published allergen and nutrition guide.
Calories are only part of the picture. Depending on the dish you may also want to look at protein, carbohydrates, fat, saturated fat, fibre and salt, and a dish being vegetable-based does not automatically make it lower in calories.
Wagamama Allergens
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, check the allergen information before ordering. Wagamama publishes an allergen guide covering the allergens present in its dishes, identifies dishes suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets, and flags dishes marked as "may contain".
Wagamama states that some dishes may contain traces of the mandatory allergens because of manufacturing, handling, storage or cooking processes, and advises customers with allergies to tell their server before ordering, on every visit.
The 14 mandatory allergens
UK food businesses must provide information about 14 regulated allergens:
- Cereals containing gluten
- Crustaceans
- Eggs
- Fish
- Peanuts
- Soybeans
- Milk
- Nuts
- Celery
- Mustard
- Sesame
- Sulphites
- Lupin
- Molluscs
An ingredient list is not enough for a serious allergy. Speak to the restaurant team before ordering. Some recipes can be modified to remove or replace certain ingredients, and only the restaurant can tell you what is possible on the day.
Vegan, Vegetarian and Non-Gluten
Vegan
We have 27 dishes marked vegan and 25 marked vegetarian. Vegan dishes appear across different sections rather than being grouped into one part of the menu, so it is worth using the Vegan filter at the top of this page rather than assuming only vegetable dishes qualify. Wagamama says its vegan dishes are approved by the Vegan Society.
Vegetarian
If you are vegetarian and also have an allergy or intolerance, check both sets of information. A dish being vegetarian tells you nothing about whether it is suitable for your other requirements.
Non-gluten
Wagamama uses the term non-gluten rather than gluten-free, and the distinction matters. There is a dedicated non-gluten menu, and Wagamama asks customers who need it to tell their server so the order can be prepared by a manager or head chef using cleaned or separate equipment.
Wagamama also states plainly that dishes are prepared in areas where allergenic ingredients are present, so it cannot guarantee any dish is completely free from gluten.
Lunch Menu and Set Menu
Wagamama runs a £14 lunch deal: a main plus a soft drink or coffee, Monday to Friday from 11am to 3pm. It is the biggest saving on the menu.
The terms are worth reading, because they catch people out:
- It does not run on bank holidays.
- It cannot be combined with any other offer or discount, including Blue Light Card and student discount.
- Soul Club stamps only apply on a minimum spend of £12.
- The £2 drink upgrade is one per order and regular size only.
- Participation varies by restaurant, and Northern Ireland is priced separately.
For groups, the set menu is currently £20 for two courses or £25 for three, with edamame or prawn crackers included.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a chicken katsu curry at Wagamama?
£14.90 eating in, across England, Scotland and Wales. It is the most ordered dish on the menu: panko-breaded chicken with sticky white rice, katsu curry sauce, a dressed salad and pickles, at 988 kcal. The vegetarian version is £14.50, and making either one hot costs 80p.
How much does a meal at Wagamama cost per person?
A main on its own is usually £14 to £18. With a side and a soft drink you are at roughly £25 a head. The £14 weekday lunch deal brings that down to about £14 including a drink.
What are the numbers next to each dish?
Wagamama's own menu codes, printed beside every item on the real menu. Chicken katsu curry is 71 and the signature seafood ramen is 39. We show them so you can check any price here against the menu in front of you.
Does Wagamama have a vegan menu?
Yes. The official menu has a vegan filter, and vegan dishes appear across several sections rather than in one place. Wagamama says its vegan dishes are approved by the Vegan Society.
Does Wagamama have a non-gluten menu?
Yes, and Wagamama deliberately calls it non-gluten rather than gluten-free. Tell your server when you arrive so the order can be prepared with cleaned or separate equipment. Wagamama states it cannot guarantee dishes are completely free from gluten.
What should I do if I have a food allergy?
Tell your server before ordering, on every visit. Wagamama can then give you its current allergy information and tell you which recipes can be modified. For a serious allergy, do not rely on this or any other third-party menu website.
Does Wagamama offer a student discount?
Yes, but it cannot be used on the £14 lunch menu. The lunch terms exclude every other offer and name student discount and Blue Light Card specifically.
Are these prices the same at every restaurant?
